New live chat service for young people affected by crime in London

Thursday 27 October 2016

You & Co has launched a new online live chat service for children and young people affected by any type of crime in London.

If you’re a child or young person living in London and you’ve experienced crime, you can use live chat to talk to one of our trained supporters in a safe online space. The service is completely free and confidential, and you don’t need to report a crime to the police to get support.

Trained supporters will talk to you through the online chat service to help you get the information and support you need to cope and recover after crime. Anything you say will be kept safe and confidential. Read our confidentiality and consent promise [link] to find out more about this.

The service is open from Monday to Friday, 12pm – 7.30pm. If you need support outside of our open hours, you can call us for free on 0808 178 5184 or contact Childline. If you live outside London, find your nearest You & Co service.

Want to chat? Visit our London live chat page now to talk to one of our supporters.

If you’re not ready to talk yet, explore our website to find out more about different types of crime, some information on how to cope after crime, and support and next steps.

If you’re not sure whether what has happened is a crime, please get in touch anyway as we can give you more information and talk about how to make things better.

You & Co’s London live chat service is funded by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC).
