You & Co nominated at the Charity Times Awards 2015
18 November 2015
You & Co is very proud to have been nominated for the Best Use of the Web award at the 2015 Charity Times Awards.
On Wednesday 7th October, I attended the 16th annual Charity Times Awards with Gemma Potter (Children and Young People Development Co-ordinator) and Nila Patel (Digital Delivery Manager).
The awards took place at Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge. The ceremony was a black-tie event and attendees were beautifully dressed to match the hall in which the awards took place.
The Charity Times Awards recognise leadership and professionalism in the charity sector. The awards were hosted by the comedian Lucy Porter, who was amazingly funny and gracious.
Victim Support was nominated for the Best Use of the Web award for the new You & Co website and the interactive courtroom.
The interactive courtroom is an animation designed to introduce young victims of crime to the layout of a courthouse. Each animated character or object is labelled to explain who or what it is.
Although our use of the web was spectacular, Young Advisors won the award. Nevertheless, we were very proud to have been nominated for our exciting use of the web.
Mohammed Saddique, a volunteer at Victim Support, was a nominee for the Outstanding Individual Achievement award. He has been volunteering for Victim Support for over 40 years! It is such an impressive achievement and I was especially amazed.
