Getting involved

There are lots of opportunities for you to get involved with You & Co.

If you get involved with You & Co, not only will you have lots of fun but you’ll also play a major role in helping us develop the way we support children and young people who are victims and witnesses of crime.

There are lots of ways you can get involved with our work.

Ways to get involved

  • National Youth Forum: Join our National Youth Forum for a chance to take part in stimulating discussions and share your creative ideas. You can have a sneak peek at some of our new projects and even contribute to their making. By sharing your ideas at our forum, you'll have a direct impact on how young people are supported. Your ideas are always valued and help shape important decisions at You & Co.
  • Peer mentoring: Support young victims and witnesses of crime through our peer mentoring scheme in schools.
  • Fundraising and awareness: Everyone can get involved in this! With no need for training you can help us spread the word about our support or raise some funds. Whatever you're able to do, you’ll be helping us reach out to more people affected by crime.

What’s in it for me?

Getting involved will help give you the confidence to meet new people and make new friends, while learning new skills, experiencing new things and improving your CV.

You’ll also feel great knowing that what you say is making a difference. Our National Youth Forum has already made a huge impact and helped develop the You & Co brand, this website, a mobile phone app to help keep young people safe and much, much more!

Who can get involved?

If you are 13 to 18 years old and want to get involved, email us at youandco@victimsupport.org.uk. We want everyone’s voice to be heard from all backgrounds, religions, cultures, genders and gender identities, sexualities and abilities.

We want to hear from you if you have experienced crime or not, as all young people are affected by crime and your ideas and opinions matter. If you have been a victim or witness of crime, we can help support you and make sure you are involved in the right opportunity for you.

How do I get involved?

To get involved, send an email to us at youandco@victimsupport.org.uk letting us know what you're interested in.

This is not an emergency contact email so please don’t use this contact to ask for support. Instead call our Supportline on: 08 08 16 89 111 or Childline on 0800 1111.
